The Hunger Games

For the final essay I have to write two scenes which could have happened or did happened in "The Hunger Games" novel and it has to be written from one of the characters point of view except Katniss Everdeen. I chose Haymitch to be the main character in those two scenes. I find his personality very interesting and I would like to write about his feelings, emotions and maybe I could explain the reasons why he is always drunk. The first scene would happen the first year after Haymitch has won The Hunger Games and has to coach tributes for the first time, the way he gets attached to those kids and they die in the Arena. Also I want to include his nightmares he has ever since his return from the Arena. The second scene would be his dinner on the train with Katniss and Peeta when they showed their spirit to Haymitch and gave him a hope. In these two scenes I want to explain why Haymitch is very cold with Peeta and Katniss, why he never sleeps at night and why he's never sober. The biggest challenge for me in this essay would be successfully adopt and write as a drunk man who tries to escape the reality through alcohol.
